Making new best friends

Ike was a retired racehorse with the kindest eyes and a gentle soul that filled every corner of the barn. He had a quiet way of connecting with people — the kind of horse you never forget. Before arriving at PJ Farm, Ike endured years of neglect. We fought for over a year to save him, giving him every ounce of care and love we could.

In February of 2024, Ike could no longer fight and gained his wings. Though his time with us was short, his spirit became the heart and purpose of PJ Farm. Soon after, we officially became a licensed nonprofit horse rescue — a safe haven dedicated to giving horses like Ike the second chance they deserve.

Since our founding, we have proudly rescued over 300 horses, each one a life saved and a story worth telling — all because of one unforgettable horse named Ike.
